CHINA TRIP REPORT - SPRING OF 2003

A VISIT WITH THE UNDERGROUND CHURCH

NOW OVER 120 MILLION STRONG

CONDITIONS IN CHINA ~ A QUICK GETAWAY ~ CJ’s CLOSE CALL

I first visited this network in 1999. At that time, the network consisted of 1,500 underground house churches. They don’t count them exactly but the leader told me that since then, they have doubled. This trip was the best yet as we were able to stay with them for 7 days. We were anxious to learn more about the workings of this growing network. This report is lengthy because I want you to know about and give you insight into the Underground House Church in China. There is much for the Free Church to learn from them. Take your time and read this in stages or better yet print it out and give it to a Christian friend.

Getting through Customs: By Dan

There were armed soldiers standing guard at all custom entries. They didn’t look very friendly either and stared at all of us as we moved up in the line. On several occasions the guards would walk toward us and then take someone out of the line ahead or behind us for a security check. The Chinese believers later told us that tight security was due primarily to the Iraq War.

Jon Dee “whispered” out loud to us that if the customs officers asked any questions we were to say we were in Shenyang as tourist to visit the Shen Dynasty, whatever that was? Jon also told us to put on our custom entry papers that we were staying at the Holiday Inn in Shenyang. Just as we approached the custom officers, Jon nonchalantly and as a matter of fact told us that he sure hoped that there was a Holiday Inn in Shenyang because he really didn’t know for sure! (Praise the Lord there was one). He also whispered to us that if we knew how to pray in tongues, this would be a good time to do it! You can imagine the confidence this gave us as we approached the armed guards and custom officers.

The Lord gave us the most pleasant looking custom officers of the whole group. They were younger than the rest and seemed more cordial than the others. Paulina went first and she spoke Chinese to the officers and sort of broke the ice with them. Les was next, and of all times to try out his very limited Chinese, he tried to speak to the officers. Apparently he pronounced whatever he tried to say so badly they began laughing at his attempt but seemed to appreciate his effort. This put them in a good mood to check out my passport and visa papers. Jon Dee also came through the customs without any problems.

When we were just barely out of hearing range from the soldiers and custom officers, Jon “whispered” out loud for us to take the money bags out of our carry on luggage and put them in our pockets so that if they should stop us and check our bags they wouldn’t find them. So there we were, all four of us trying to act inconspicuous, unzipping our luggage and taking out our money bags and putting them into our pockets, all the while the guards and customs officers watching our every move! It’s a wonder they didn’t arrest us on the spot!

Police Pressure: We had one more day to go at the training center. Some of us went into town to purchase more video film. While we were there, the leader got a call that the police was looking around in a near by town where a house church met. We were then taken to the lobby of the hotel where we stayed for the weekend and dropped off. The leader phoned the training center to have the rest of our team cease the teaching, pack and be ready to leave immediately. Two hours later, they joined us and we were on our way to another city. As the adrenalin started to slow, I began singing in the van, “this is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made. We will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it.” Everyone joined in and we thanked the Lord and rejoiced in the inability of the enemy to penetrate the Lord’s covering.

CJ’S CLOSE CALL: by CJ.

I have another thing want to tell you that on my way to Shanghai, entering the train station, all the passengers were asked to put their packages to go through a machine for checking, in general little bags such as my laptop bag will never be asked to check and go through the machine before. So I put all the VCD’s that John gave us in Beijing for the Christian leaders that teaches about how to expose the Eastern Lightning Cult, total 11 copies, each copy include 3 pieces, that’s to say 33 pieces in my bag with my laptop. I never be asked to check my bag before, so this time, as many times before, I put other bigger bags on the machine and kept my laptop bag on my shoulder, however, the train station policeman that stood beside the machine suddenly stopped me and asked me to put my laptop bag on the machine also. Of course I don’t want to because one of my friends also sisters had told me before that the machine could find the videos if you take too much. But I had to obey him, when I put my bag on the machine I had a very simple pray in my heart: Lord, please protect me.

Do you know what happened ~ in the following, just when I was going through the machine side, I heard three or four other station policemen shout at to the two men before me: come here, come here, you two, take you package here. They are very harsh that even frighten the two adult person, at the same time, I bow down and picked up my laptop bag that was just close to their package with thinking to myself: these two guys must take something that is forbidden. Just then when I put my bags back to my shoulder and fortunate that nothing was found to my bag, I heard the station policemen question the two guys:” how many videos are you taking? Open your package.” The question shocked my heart and I suddenly understand they must make confusion on our bags. The person questioned actually should be me, but not the two guys. Lord just protect me and let the policemen have wrong feeling that it theirs big package which is just close to mine have videos. Oh, Lord! He did protect me and go with me all the time! I almost cry at that time. PTL.

Eastern Lightning Cult: This cult continues to be active in China and is now in California. Their premise is that Jesus has returned in the form of a woman. They infiltrate house churches and use sex and money to lure leaders into their cult. They kidnap and drug leaders using brainwashing techniques. They are vicious and unrelenting.

I met a leader in a northern city and he is constantly being attack by this cult because he is producing the 3 disc teaching series against the cult. They have stolen his money, pound on his door and follow him. He is concerned for his wife and little son. When he was telling me this, he was truly in distress. I pulled out the oil and a missionary couple and I prayed for him. The next day, I saw him and he was delivered from his distress and his heart was rejoicing in the Lord. I told him that he needed more prayer covering. I promised that I would tell you about him so that our prayers would continue to cover and protect him and his family.

AN APOSTOLIC TEAM

Nearly three years ago Dan, whom I had met briefly, called me and said that he felt a call to China. Last November, I called for a gathering of house church leaders that have a tug in their heart for the Lord’s suffering church at my home in North Carolina. Dan was one of those that came and committed to this trip.

He is 65 years young, a tall man in very good shape with a sense of humor and a smile that would disarm any mean person. His life is organized as though he was part of the body of Christ in the early church as found in the book of Acts. Dan has started house churches all over the world. The students quickly became attached to him and his style of teaching. Dan started to teach consistently from the third day. Also, his full head of gray hair helped as they revere their elders in China. It was easy for me to reflect back into the book of Acts and see the setting for Paul teaching in Ephesus to those that came from all over Asia.

Les also came to the gathering at my home. He is one of the founders of The Southern House Church Conference, and a very successful salesman. At the gathering, the Lord captured his heart and he was chosen to go on this trip. His gift is that of a prophet. He spoke with tears and humility and each word hit its target. It was like Jesus was speaking words of blessing, encouragement and direction to all of us especially to these young warriors of the Lord. When you step back into the first century church setting under persecution, we see more clearly the need for a prophet.

We were functioning as an apostolic team and it was obvious to all of us that the Lord was pleased because of His anointing upon us. This was a first for us to witness. But as we read about the early church in the New Testament, it was normal.

We left the USA with what I call massive prayer covering. The Lord must receive all the glory for everything that was accomplished on our mission. Many thanks to all those who contributed in prayer. One day, we will discuss this event with all of you in Glory.

TEARS ~ TEARS

When we gathered together, we sensed the Lord’s heart as he hovers over his suffering church. Prayer, praise, worship, testimonies and teachings all would provoke tears spontaneously. When anyone of our team was speaking, suddenly without warning, we would be gripped by the Spirit and could not speak but only weep. We would have to be patient until the Spirit’s inner work was done and then we could resume. The student’s devotion to Christ brought them to weep or rejoice as the Spirit of the Lord so moved. .

We were constantly reminded of the intercession going on all over the world for our trip into China. Without that covering, we may have been no more than a spectacle to them. It was obvious to me that the powerful presence of Jesus we felt in the China Church is not only because of the Lord’s love for His suffering church but is linked to their investment in prayer and study of the Word of God, as they were being prepared to enter a life of service to Him

AFFIRMING THE CHURCH IN CHINA

I attend a house church and that is why I appreciate the pure work of the Holy Spirit in the underground house church. Some teachers come to them not with pure motives and I know they asked one to leave. What we do for them is without any strings attached. This was my third trip to this network. We were to affirm them and teach by scripture, the church that Jesus said He would build. They became very comfortable with the teachings we brought. They are doing by the Spirit what we could show and confirm in the Word of God.

Most students come to this training center at the age of 16 and leave 2 years later. They are 40 strong and come with nothing for their support. The local house churches (in their own poverty) try to meet their needs of food etc. They receive teaching for one month and then out in the field the next month. So they are in school for 6 months and doing evangelistic work 6 months out of the year. Like most Asians, they are brilliant. Everything they do for the Lord is with gusto including their precision dancing. They chose to be in the Lord’s army with no guarantee that they will not be arrested and suffer torture; as a matter of fact they expect that it will happen. Every part of the school day is done with intensity by them. We were very impressed with them and we know the next generation of leaders will be excellent.

We stayed at this training center for 7 days. Praise and worship was at 6 to 7 am. Teaching started at 8:00 am with 5 sessions, each session starting with praise and worship. The day of teaching ends at 7:30 pm.

Dan, my co-worker did most of the teachings and said that all of his 50 years of being equipped by the Lord was for this time. The students are like sponges and they take notes constantly and won’t let you leave the teaching without a review. We encouraged them to ask questions and become a part of the teachings. The dialogue instead of lecture method constantly proves the best. It went so well that they kindly demanded that Dan return soon, and he promised he would return.

FARM TRAINING CENTER (FTC)

In the past, I have used Farm Bible School to explain the working model we saw in the northwest. After seeing this training center in action, I believe the name training center is closer to describing what actually takes place. The name of Bible School for a westerner takes on an image that does not reflect what is taking place in China.

While the teachings were in process, I was meeting daily with the leaders of this training center. We were looking into the future as to how to run the farm and a secure training center at the same time. In this area, the Christians are mostly farmers so that part is good. At the time of this writing, we still don’t have a permanent agreement with the local authorities. I will inform you as events develop.

The leader of this new FTC stated that Christian history will reflect that this vision will be a turning point as important as Hudson Taylor was to China in the past.

WELCOMING CELEBRATION: by Les

There is no way that I can describe what I am about to tell you, in a way that will express what we were about to see.

Tears are falling all over this book, as I try to describe this, they are just so young! It doesn’t seem fair, to my western mind. They look like teenagers. They miss their mommies, yet they have chosen to leave their home and be workers in the Lord’s church.

The students had been working all day, to prepare dances and skits for us, to show there appreciations for us coming from so far to bless them. It began with them saying the one sentence they had memorized in English. I think it was: “We love you and Jesus loves you!” Then six of these wonderful, innocent, little girls, began to dance a Chinese dance for us with paper plate tambourines made out of two plates glued together with some beans inside to shake, with colorful crepe paper streamers. The movements are very beautiful, and the crepe paper streamers paint beautiful patterns swooping up and down and swirling around in the most graceful way. It has a beauty all its own. It glorifies the Lord. It is beautiful and pure and innocent. It is a gift to us. They want to give you a gift, so they perform an uplifting dance for you. Every song is a praise song to Jesus.

Then six men got up to dance. They began to dance for us a praise song to Jesus. It is very masculine and manly, yet they are also innocent as to the ways of western pride. They are so different from us. These men are not afraid to dance before the Lord. They do not look foolish at all. It is complete sincerity. It is done without reservation. They lunge in a show of strength then they twirl around. They dance with smooth choreography, yet with gusto and precision. I cannot describe it in a worthy way. You wish you could dance like that.

Then one after another, groups of four, five, or six students would get up and give the performance that they had prepared for us. The “Sunday school teachers” had a dance for us that was more reserved, since they were grown and married women, but they too wanted to give us something. They began to alternate between dances, and skits. At first the skits were full of humor. Paulina, our translator, could not keep up with all of the quips and jokes, so we left her alone for a while, so that she could laugh and enjoy herself. It was great having two translators. C.J. could tell Jon Dee what was happening, while Paulina translated for Dan and me. Then the skits became more serious. We at first watched the skits, paying attention to the story and the excellent talent they had. They are very good actors. But then, things took an unexpected turn.

The next skit was about a family who had four sons, played by four girls with their hair stuffed up in their caps. They had their backpacks on, (probably what they had packed in to come to this training center when they left their moms and dads.) The four sons had committed their lives to go and preach the gospel to Tibet. The mother and the father were sitting at a table, before the sons got there, for the going away send-off of their boys. The father told the mother, “We must be strong. We must let them go even if we feel like our heart is being torn out of us!” The mother said, “But I don’t know if I can take it!” However, they both agreed that they must be strong, and not let them know how much their hearts were aching. The sons go out, Mom and Dad are crying, and they walk off to the mission field in Tibet. Each one is finally on their own, with Satan played by one girl and the angel of light by another saying things to them like, “Go home! How can you find a wife out here?” or, “Your parents are sick, they need your support!” or, “Go get a job, make money!” When that doesn’t work, the devil gets very angry and tells them, “If you do not turn back, I will kill you.”

In the next scene, the boys have been arrested, and are bound with ropes. They are to be executed because they will not deny Jesus. The girl, whose part is supposed to be the executioner tries to act it out, but can’t even finish, and sits back in her chair. They go on with the play. Then the Mom and Dad get the terrible letter saying that all four sons have been martyred. Then the parents end the skit by saying, “I only wish I had five sons to give for the Lord.” Then this skit ends with the four young “boys,” sitting in chairs, with martyr’s crowns, the “crown of Life,” upon their heads. These Christians believe the scriptures, and look forward to getting the “Crown of life, which Jesus will give them, if they are killed for his sake.

Now, I notice a mother sitting next to me is crying. I notice the lady sitting next to her is also crying. Then I notice that these young girls, these innocent young children, who have left their moms and dads, are crying too. Parents are crying. Young men are getting misty eyed. They also look too young to be bearing these burdens. Now our entire team is totally undone, as we realize that this is real! Those backpacks carried their clothes to this training center! We are in a room full of soldiers in the Army of the Lord and the warriors are just children! Some of these girls look like porcelain dolls, with ivory skin and such innocent beauty that they look even more defenseless and vulnerable. The boys seem so young too. We are all crying our eyes out! We are in God’s war room, we are in the barracks, with the soldiers who are heading to the front lines, and they are just children!

Most of these kids only make it through middle school before they have to quit school to help support their families. (Sometimes these kids have been hungry here when the training center and church were out of money. John says he got very upset when he heard about it, and was able to wire some money to them through CJ, to buy food.)

We found out later that these students are hand- picked, by the house churches throughout the network, because they have the call of God on their lives, and have shown excellent potential towards being the future leaders of the underground Church. Many, or maybe all of them, have already had miracles happen in their ministries. A couple of the young men have been greatly used in holding revival meetings, and casting out demons, and praying for miracles. They are actually much more mature than they look to my western eyes. One of the women, who I thought was a girl, was actually a grown woman, and was one of the founders of the Church that sponsors this training center. So much for my being able to tell ages!

I must say that this meeting was the most moving experience of my Christian life so far. We were all weeping and sobbing and crying our eyes out, just for the fact that God had allowed us the privilege of seeing this wonderful unit of Gods army in China. The overwhelming feeling I had was “Thank you, Jesus, for letting me see what could possibly be the purest expression of true Christianity that can be seen on earth.” I am sure there are many more such expressions, but probably only in places where persecution keeps it this pure.

I will never forget that meeting with the army of God in China.

A VISIT WITH 5 HOUSE CHURCH LEADERS

We were told 5 leaders were to meet with us in our hotel room before we headed to Beijing. These leaders were 5 women between the ages of 30 and 40 years old. They represented 2 local house churches but are aware of many others in their area. They shared some of their experiences with us. They have to be careful who they witness to so they rely on the Holy Spirit for divine appointments. I asked them how many men are in their church, and they said none. I asked, what is the average ratio between men and women in the church and they said 7 to 1. I said to them that in China, the Lord has chosen the most beautiful to preach the Gospel. They laughed.

They go out and start churches by winning a family. That family then becomes the base for another local church and thus the church is multiplied over and over by this simple method.

A story was told of 3 young men who were arrested. Until they were sentenced, they were beaten every day. The local Christian women were very worried about one brother because of his poor health. They prayed hard for him that he would survive the cold winter without heat. One day the vice warden was walking back and forth outside his cell and the young Christian called the vice warden over to him. During their conversation, the warden told him he had a fatal disease. The Christian told him that if he believed in Jesus, He would heal him. The warden replied that if Jesus would heal him, he would believe in Him. The Christian prisoner then prayed for him and he was healed.

The prayers of the women were answered because then the warden saw to it that he had light duty inside the prison until his release. All of the young men have been released and they are following up on all those they won to the Lord while in prison.

They also told us of an 80 year old lady in their church that has the gift of healing. Everyone she prays for is healed. In a local church near them, a young man has the gift and power to cast out demons. It takes 5 to 15 minutes for folks to be set free.

I knew I was to anoint them all with oil and as I went near them I asked our prophet to prepare to give them a word. As I anointed them with oil in the symbol of the Cross, the power of the Lord fell on us all. The presence of the Lord filled that hotel room and it became Holy Ground. It was as though Jesus paid us a personal visit, to pin a metal of honor on each woman. As an elder, I have anointed Christians and prayed for them often but I can’t recall His presence so strong. Then our weeping prophet prayed and spoke over them.

DISTRIBUTION

We were able to provide the equivalent of 100 US dollars for;

1. Families whose fathers are in prison.

2. Martyr’s families.

3. Families of leaders on the run.

4. Very poor families of evangelists.

Meeting the needs of families is always the priority of PCC.

VISION IN THE WORKS

As most of you know, we have divided China into 7 regions. It is our goal to have at least one FTC in each region, then into each province. The leader took me to Revelations 1:20 and related the 7 regions to the 7 stars, “The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lamp stands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lamp stands which you saw are the seven churches.” When you consider that 30,000 are coming to Christ everyday in China, you can see that our vision is only a beginning.

The Bible tells us in Ephesians to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men…. This scripture directs our whole purpose to equip the underground church for this great harvest in China.

It is not practical to send foreign teachers to every FTC. So what should we do? We plan to professionally video all of our teachings in China with two audio channels, one in English and one in Chinese. All the students want to learn English. We will edit them and reproduce them on VCD’s for wide spread distribution. The equipment to do this will be purchased in China and co-workers will be trained to operate the computer and duplicating machine.

THE HEAVENLY PARK

The sign says; “Our country’s worshipping Heaven dates back to the ancient times, it is from the 2600 B.C. (five Emperor Dynasties) to the early of the 20^th Century when the feudal society was disintegrated.”

Heavenly Temple: With our mission complete, we wanted to do a little touring. We visited Tiananmen Square to honor those fallen young people that died for their dreams of human rights in China. Many of them were Christians. Then, we did the great wall and I bought a tee shirt to prove it.

The rest of the story is what we found in the Heavenly Park. My first trip to the Heavenly Park was in 1997 to give offerings to a network for their suffering families. So I was in and out with out taking in the sites. But this time, we were headed to the Heavenly Temple because we heard that in this temple idols were not permitted by the Emperor. Why would an Emperor ban idols? This intrigued us so we climbed the stairs to this temple. As we observed this shrine, we were surprised to feel the presence of the Lord.

I had this notion; that the ancient Emperor was over burdened with the cares of his kingdom and family. One day, in frustration, he went to the temple spot and cried out to the God of Heaven because all the idols he prayed to were silent. All of a sudden, he felt the presence of the Lord fill him with an experience he never felt before. In honor of the God of Heaven that answered him, he made plans for this temple to be built with the edict that no idols could ever go into it. What we observed is that China was obsessed with Heaven and they were religious.

As we prayed at this sight, the Spirit of the Lord moved on all three of us men. The tears flowed. Les explained that what we were feeling is the Lord continuing to hover over China as He reaps this great harvest.

Heavenly Palace of Fasting:

The sign says; “The place where the emperor used to observed abstinence from meat, drink, music, women, and care for the state affairs three days before he conducted sacrificial rites at the temple. Within this Palace is a bronze statue (symbol of Justice and Righteousness).”

After spending several hours in this place, we could find many of the traditions of ancient China in the Bible. This Heavenly Park sparked our interest because of its purpose. I am reminded of the scripture in Romans 1:20 “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.”

THE INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN by Les

I was awakened at 3:30 am, in our hotel room on the morning of the first visit to the training center, and the Lord gave me a strong impression that He wanted me to speak to the students and workers at the training center about a man, an indestructible man.

I was able to share this that morning at the training center, to the students, and later, to five lady-workers who serve, and started many of the churches in the same network that Noah serves. From what we could see, it was a great encouragement to them, not from us, but directly from their Lord Jesus.

Today I want to talk to you about another man. This man also has a miraculous story. A great miracle was done for him also. In fact, many miracles have occurred. He has many enemies, powerful enemies, who wish to destroy him at any moment. Every day they want to destroy him, but none of them have been able to destroy him.

They beat him, they tormented him, until he was barely able to walk. After they did their dirty work, he was so badly beaten that it did not look like he would be able to rise. But then, something miraculous happened. He slowly got off the floor. He first got to his knees, then he rose to his feet. It took all of the strength that he had in him, but he got on his feet. And even though he had been beaten so badly that any normal person would have not been able to rise, he got up. He then began to walk. Slowly at first…..Painfully he began…but as he began to take steps, his strength came back to him.

Life began to flow through his body. Healing power began to make him able to walk again. Then by a miracle, he was completely healed. As his strength came back, and the life flowed through his arms, and legs, and head, he was completely healed. He now began to not only walk, but he could run! He is an INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN. He is a miracle man.

When I heard about him, I asked, “How can this be? And what is the secret power that he seems to have? Where did he get this power? Some friends of mine gave me a book, and told me that in that book I would be able to discover the secret, of how someone so beaten up could get up like that. No matter how many times he was knocked down, he was always able to get back up. Again and again, he got back up. What was his secret power? What makes him indestructible? What book is this? And most important of all, WHO IS THIS MAN? THIS MAN IS YOU! HE IS THE CHURCH IN CHINA!

YOU ARE THAT MAN! EVERY ONE OF YOU! YOU ARE THE ONE I SAW!

YOU ARE THE INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN! YOU ARE THE INDESTRUCTIBLE WOMAN!

The enemy that wants to destroy you is Satan, and all of his demons. He hates you more than you know. He wants to kill you. He wants to steal everything that you have. He wants to completely destroy you. But he can not do it! Because you are an indestructible man! Even if he knocks you to the ground, you get up every time.

You remind him of someone. Satan hates this man most of all. He will never forget the day he met that man. It was by a river, and there was a prophet dressed in camel’s hair. And he was saying, “There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.” Then came this man, wading through the Jordan River, towards the prophet. He looked like an ordinary man. There was nothing about him that made him look very great.

But oh, how I, Satan, hate that man! And oh how I regret that I did not understand who He was! How could I have let all of my plans be destroyed by that one man! If only I had known, that all of my plans would be destroyed in one single day! I had the entire earth and almost all of mankind under my control! With my master plan, I had taken away from God almost all of all of his creation. My army and I were able to do so much. God’s prized possession, the human race, was becoming more and more under our control.

My plan had worked. I had deceived the father and mother of all mankind, at the very beginning, in the beautiful garden that He had made for them. The plan was very ingenious; all I had to do was use what had happened to me to put this plan together. I remembered what had happened to me, when I rebelled. I was called the son of the morning, yet I wanted to be like the most high. I became ambitious. I wanted to ascend even higher.

But God was more powerful, than I had expected, and immediately I was cast out of heaven, to earth. Now, unbelievably, I was able to have some success. In fact all of the kingdoms of the earth were under my control. It wasn’t total victory, and though I was doomed to be destroyed in the lake of fire, at least I could use my hate of God to destroy all of his creation before I went down. At least I could take my revenge by hurting his most precious possession; mankind, his “lovely little family.” At least I could take them down with me.

Unbelievably, they fell for my deception. I was able to deceive them the same way that I had been deceived. I simply asked Eve a few questions. I made her doubt what God had said. I made her doubt God’s word. I told her that if she ate of the forbidden fruit, that she would become like God. She would then have the knowledge of both good and evil. She began to wonder if God was keeping something from her, something she deserved. That was all it took. Then her husband fell for it too. They had no idea what rebellion against God would do to them. They did not realize the terrible consequence of rebellion and sin against God, SEPARATION FROM GOD! For he is holy, and no sinful man can stand in his presence.

All was going well for me. My revenge was sweet! But then came that man! Then God tricked me. How could I be so stupid! What a plan it was! It was pure genius! I could never have imagined it. Oh I knew something was up. I knew of the prophecies, about a messiah being born in Bethlehem. But that was easy; I had Herod kill all of the babies in that area. I thought that had taken care of it, but it did not.

So now I set to work again, I had many tools. I had religious leaders who were jealous. They were easy to convince. I stirred them up to kill Jesus, to get rid of him. So they had him arrested, and taken to the authorities. They shamed him, beat him, disgraced him, and then crucified him. What a victory party we had. We could not believe our good fortune. It all seemed so easy. Now this one they were calling the messiah was dead. They had killed him. They put him in the tomb. All of my evil army was rejoicing.

But then something terrible took place. He rose up from the dead! Death could not keep him! He had been beaten until he was unrecognizable, then hung upon a cross, and then stabbed in the heart. He was cold and dead in that tomb. We thought we had won. But he got up! He unwrapped those burial cloths, and walked out of that tomb. And all of my plans were destroyed in that one moment in eternity. I had been defeated. I had met my match. This man was the Son of God. He was indestructible. Even death had no hold on him.

IN SUMMARY

The Lord has now expanded this mission by bringing in dedicated and proven gifted men that have a call to the Church in China. We are impressed beyond words with the Lord’s army in China. I thought I was back in boot camp as I observed their commitment and dedication to the Lord’s service. Knowing that you are behind them in prayer is an encouragement and special gift to them.

I speak to new subscriber and ask that you do not email this report to people you don’t know. Our mission is covert and we don’t advertise it. We are a small mission with all volunteers and pay our own expenses. If you want to join the Free Church and give to the Lord’s suffering church, ask the Lord about your involvement. It is Jesus that we are all accountable to. All of your offerings go to China just like the offerings of the Early Church went to Jerusalem.
